Peer Review Process

Review Process

Manuscripts submitted for the first time will be reviewed by the editor. The manuscript will be assessed in-office to determine whether it fits within the scope and focus of Healthia or contains significant methodological flaws, as well as checked for similarity using iThenticate.

The manuscript will then be sent to at least two reviewers (double-blind peer review process). Reviewer comments will be conveyed to the corresponding author for necessary action and response.

The recommended decision will be evaluated in an editorial board meeting. Afterwards, the editor will send the final decision to the corresponding author.

Review Outcome

Based on feedback from the peer review process, the Editor will make the final decision regarding publication. The review process is expected to take approximately 12 weeks. Decision categories include:

  • Reject – Rejected manuscripts will not be published, and authors will not be allowed to resubmit a revised version of the manuscript to Healthia.

  • Resubmit for Review – The submission requires substantial revisions before it can be considered for publication. A second round of peer review will be necessary.

  • Accept with Revisions – Manuscripts receiving an acceptance pending revisions will be published in Healthia provided that minor or major modifications are made. Revisions will be reviewed by the editor to ensure all necessary changes have been completed before publication.

  • Accept – Accepted manuscripts will be published in their original form with no further modifications required.

Correspondence

All correspondence related to the manuscript should be addressed to the Editor of Healthia and cc’d to admin@journal.pubfine.com. The Editor will direct all communication to the corresponding author, who is responsible for sharing the information with all co-authors. In addition to communications regarding peer review, manuscripts accepted for publication may require further correspondence to finalize copyediting and layout editing processes.
